The Ambassador Iryna Venediktova visited the Ukrainian cultural center "Prostir" in Lucerne.The initiator of this unique facility is a member of the cantonal council of Lucerne Urban Frye. The center runs a variety of cultural projects and initiatives for Ukrainians.

"Prostir" is a bridge between Ukraine and Ukrainians here in Switzerland. Every day 500 adults and 300 children from Ukraine engage in music, sports and other interesting activities in a cozy and creative atmosphere. Our connection with the Motherland is taken care of here – children improve their Ukrainian language, the center spreads Ukrainian culture.

The Ambassador had the opportunity to participate in some classes at the center, in particular, participation in an online conference with the Academy of Arts in Kharkiv.

Ways of future cooperation with the center were discussed. The new government councilor of the canton of Lucerne for social policy, education and refugees, Michaela Tschuor, assured that helping Ukrainians will be a top issue on the agenda.
