The Ambassador Iryna Venediktova attended the 52nd Symposium at the University of St. Gallen. This event is a world event with a very valuable discussion of the leaders of today and the future; it is a dialogue of generations and eras about current and planned challenges and the steps. This year the focus was on Ukraine and global security issues.
The speech by Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Ukrainian human rights defender Oleksandra Matviychuk at the symposium was met with applause. The participants supported their theses on restoring justice, preventing the repetition of aggressive wars, helping Ukraine to win, and joint efforts for its reconstruction.
The University of St. Gallen, which celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, has become an international platform where Ukraine has made new friends. As the symposium showed: Universities are a driving force that shape the worldview for future generations. And the main thing is that our state is in this image - an integral part of the family of free and democratic European nations.
The Ambassador thanked the President of the University of St. Gallen, Prof. Bernhard Ehrenzeller, the Vice President, Dr. Gunnar Hauptmann, and the 52nd Symposium team for the topical discussion and fruitful event.
