On 7 March, representatives of the Embassy attended the concert “Stimmen des Friedens in einer zerrissenen Welt”, which took place at the Basilica Dreifaltigkeit in Bern.
The evening was truly special and deeply emotional. The concert programme brought together works ranging from the ancient Gregorian tradition to contemporary music and reminded the audience of the importance of peace, human dignity, and solidarity in the challenging times we face today.
A particularly notable moment of the programme was the contemporary work ZET by Swiss composer Francesco Hoch, which incorporates words of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The composition became a powerful symbol of the resilience, struggle, and endurance of the Ukrainian people in the face of Russian aggression.
We sincerely thank the organisers and performers for creating space for Ukraine in their artistic programme, for giving a voice to truth, and for reminding the world about the price of freedom and peace. In times of hardship, such cultural solidarity carries special significance and demonstrates support for Ukraine.
We thank everyone who speaks about peace through music and supports Ukraine.
