Today, a National Solidarity Action with Ukraine took place on the Federal Square in the heart of Swiss democracy. The event was dedicated to the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion and the twelfth year of the war against Ukraine.
Together with the Ukrainian community, Swiss partners, and friends of Ukraine, we honored the fallen, expressed our support for the Ukrainian people, and reaffirmed our shared commitment to freedom, justice, and international law.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation, Iryna Venediktova, emphasized in her speech:
“Ukraine is the victim of this aggression. But Ukraine is not a victim in the moral sense. Ukraine is strong. It firmly stands on the principles of international law, defends our shared values, and today stands on the frontline in the defense of Europe.”
The Ambassador also underlined the importance of continued determined support for Ukraine and of ensuring Russia’s accountability for the crime of aggression.
We are sincerely grateful to the Swiss parliamentarians, representatives of the Federal Council, members of the diplomatic corps, Swiss civil society, and all citizens who stood alongside Ukraine today.
