On 19 March 2026, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation between Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova and a delegation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, headed by Deputy Minister Viktoriia Riasna, who is visiting Switzerland in the framework of the implementation of relevant arrangements between the respective authorities of both countries.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed current issues related to the development of cooperation between Ukraine and Switzerland in the field of physical culture and sports, with a particular focus on recovery, as well as the development of relevant infrastructure and programs.

The Deputy Minister informed about the progress in implementing a number of initiatives in Ukraine in the field of sports, in particular the introduction and development of multisport clubs.

Particular attention was paid to opportunities for strengthening cooperation with relevant Swiss institutions in the areas of sports expertise, inclusive and adaptive sports, as well as to discussing ways of involving Swiss expertise in the process of reforming Ukraine’s sports sector.

The interlocutors also emphasized the importance of developing international partnerships in the field of sports as an essential tool for social integration, recovery, and support for those affected by the war.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for fruitful cooperation and reaffirms its readiness to continue supporting the development of Ukrainian-Swiss cooperation in the field of sports.
