On 19 March 2026, Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Costa Rica, Ana Gabriela Massey Machado.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side expressed its gratitude to Costa Rica for its consistent support and solidarity with Ukraine in the face of the ongoing aggression of the Russian Federation. The parties discussed the importance of coordinating efforts and maintaining a common position at international platforms.

Particular attention was paid to the need to strengthen the role of international law. The interlocutors reaffirmed their shared commitment to the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the rule of law.

The meeting demonstrated mutual interest in further developing bilateral dialogue.
