On 11 July 2026, under the patronage of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation, the Yehudi Menuhin Forum in Bern hosted a concert as part of the international “Concert Tour for Peace and Solidarity 2026”, bringing together young musicians from Ukraine, Switzerland, Finland, and Sweden.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation Iryna Venediktova welcomed the participants and guests, emphasizing that music is a universal language that requires no translation and has the power to unite people across borders, cultures, and generations. At a time when Russia continues its war of aggression against Ukraine, culture is not only a source of inspiration but also a powerful expression of resilience and a way to protect our identity, freedom, and human dignity.

As Ukraine continues its daily struggle for freedom and the right to exist, cultural initiatives like this carry profound significance. They not only introduce the world to Ukrainian culture but also strengthen international solidarity, unite people around shared European values, and remind us that peace, freedom, and democracy require common responsibility and support.
