The Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland continues its cooperation with Fondation suisse de déminage (FSD) to raise international awareness of humanitarian demining. In this context, on 26 June, the opening of the installation The Only Way Out (La seule issue) took place in Geneva, bringing together members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Geneva cantonal authorities, and FSD partners.

Participants had the opportunity to experience the interactive installation, which aims to draw international attention to the global threat posed by landmines and explosive remnants of war, their devastating impact on civilian populations, and the critical importance of humanitarian demining as a prerequisite for restoring safe living conditions in contaminated areas.

The Embassy of Ukraine emphasizes the importance of initiatives that support international humanitarian demining efforts and raise awareness of the dangers posed by explosive hazards, which continue to affect millions of people around the world.

Ukraine remains one of the most heavily mine-contaminated countries in the world. Humanitarian demining is essential for protecting civilians, restoring critical infrastructure, enabling the safe return of displaced people to their homes, and supporting the country's sustainable post-war recovery.
