Today we mark the Day of the Crimean Tatar Flag and honour the Crimean Tatars, the Indigenous People of Ukraine, their rich cultural heritage, resilience, and unwavering devotion to their homeland.
The light blue flag bearing the golden Tamga is more than a national symbol of the Crimean Tatar people. It embodies dignity, freedom, historical memory, and the right to live on one's native land. Despite deportation, persecution, and the temporary occupation of Crimea, this flag remains a symbol of hope and resilience.
Ukraine remains steadfast in its support for the Crimean Tatar people in their struggle for their rights, freedom, and the preservation of their national identity. We believe that the Crimean Tatar Flag and the National Flag of Ukraine will once again fly freely over Ukrainian Crimea.
Crimea is Ukraine.
