On 27 June, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein hosted the award ceremony for the winners and prize recipients of the 26th International Ukrainian Language Competition for students in Switzerland.

This year, 20 students who successfully passed the school-level selection received diplomas for the final (second) stage of the competition. Each participating Ukrainian educational centre was entitled to nominate one student in each of the four age categories.

The final stage brought together participants from seven Ukrainian educational institutions: the Ukrainian School in Geneva, the "Mriya" Ukrainian Schools in Zurich, Kreuzlingen and Schaffhausen, the "Ridne Slovo" Ukrainian School in Bern, the "Zerniatko" School in Lausanne, and the "Barvinok" integration class in Liechtenstein.

Certificates of appreciation and awards were also presented to teachers in recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and daily efforts to preserve the Ukrainian language and culture among young Ukrainians abroad.

The ceremony concluded with a joint performance of the song We Will Never Renounce Our Native Language, symbolising the unity of the Ukrainian community and its enduring love for the Ukrainian language.
