On 18 November 2025, the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland paid a working visit to the city of Kreuzlingen in the canton of Thurgau. During the trip, representatives of the diplomatic mission visited the Ukrainian Refugee Center and familiarized themselves with the living conditions of Ukrainian citizens who hold S temporary protection status.

During a meeting with representatives of the Social Department of the city of Kreuzlingen, issues related to access to education, attendance of German language courses, and employment opportunities were discussed.

Special attention was given to the activities of the Ukrainian school “Mriya” in Kreuzlingen, which plays an important role in supporting children and teenagers temporarily residing in Switzerland.

As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with representatives of Soroptimist International SI Club Kreuzlingen. The event was dedicated to the issue of violence against women refugees and took place within the framework of the global Orange Days initiative launched by the UN to raise awareness about violence against women and girls.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of supporting Ukrainian women who have found themselves in situations of forced migration.
