The creation of the Special International Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine is a necessary and the only effective step to bring Russia to justice.

On April 8, Ambassador Iryna Venediktova held a meeting with Federal Counselor, Head of the Federal Department of Justice and Police Beat Jans.

The Ambassador thanked Switzerland for its active position in matters of international justice and compensation for damages to the victims of Russian aggression. She emphasized the importance of further sanctions pressure on the aggressor and coordinated measures to counter the circumvention of sanctions.

The parties discussed the extension of the protection status S, new opportunities for Ukrainian asylum seekers and the recovery of Ukraine after the victory.
