On April 9, 2024, a meeting between Ambassador Iryna Venediktova and the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius took place at the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland.

In a warm friendly conversation, they discussed important issues of our country's agenda, including: the current situation regarding countering Russian aggression, the path of European development of Ukraine, and support from the international community for the establishment of a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to issues of a church-religious nature. His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius also spoke about the chaplain service of the Churches. They discussed the importance of spiritual care of Ukrainians who are forced to seek temporary shelter outside our country.
