The Ambassador Iryna Venediktova met with the government councilor of the Canton of Bern, the Head of the Directorate for Economy, Energy and Environment Christoph Ammann.

Access to the labor market for our citizens was discussed. It was also agreed to cooperate with BernInvest to launch a special program for Ukrainian entrepreneurs to start their own business in the Canton of Bern. We are counting on the support of the canton and the local tourism agency MadeInBern in expanding the tourist opportunities in the regions of Ukraine.

As part of the implementation of the projects of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, it was agreed to transfer experience in organizing children's meals from local schools.

The Ambassador thanked for the hospitality and solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion against Ukraine, the canton of Bern has become a safe haven for more than 9000 of our citizens and Ukrainian children have the opportunity to attend school.
