He emphasized that this visit is a clear signal of Switzerland's solidarity with the Ukrainian people in times of full-scale war and expressed gratitude for the substantial humanitarian aid, support for Ukrainians who have found refuge in Switzerland, and Switzerland’s participation in the Global Peace Summit.
During the meeting, the following key issues were discussed:
– peace initiatives and the need for a just peace with respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity;
– sanctions pressure on Russia and work on establishing a compensation mechanism using frozen Russian assets;
– prospects for future peace negotiations and Switzerland’s role as a platform for dialogue;
– Ukraine’s recovery, including funding for reconstruction projects and humanitarian demining;
– the importance of protecting the rights of Ukrainian refugees and maintaining adequate conditions for temporary protection.
Separately, Ruslan Stefanchuk called on Swiss parliamentarians to consider adopting a declaration in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as a clear signal to the aggressor.
