The Swiss energy equipment manufacturer PFIFFNER-Group has presented the Government of Ukraine with a certificate worth 100,000 Swiss francs for the purchase of equipment to support the Ukrainian energy system. In addition, the Swiss company is considering the possibility of constructing a new plant in Ukraine. This was discussed during an online meeting between the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, and the Chairman of the Board of the Swiss industrial group PFIFFNER-Group, Fritz Hunziker, as well as Executive Director Marcel Rufenacht.
“We are grateful to PFIFFNER-Group for its contribution to the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system — this includes a certificate for CHF 100,000 and potential investments in a new plant in Ukraine. Such support strengthens our energy resilience amid ongoing attacks,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
She thanked the leadership of PFIFFNER-Group for the previously provided humanitarian and technical assistance to Ukraine’s energy sector. The parties also discussed the prospects for further cooperation, including the potential opening of a manufacturing unit of the Swiss company in Ukraine.
“The government is pursuing the ‘Made in Ukraine’ policy, which stimulates investment in the real sector, strengthens non-raw material exports, and supports domestic manufacturing. Particularly attractive for large investors is the state support program for significant investment projects. Under its terms, an investor may receive reimbursement of up to 30% of capital investments from the government for projects exceeding EUR 12 million,” emphasized Yuliia Svyrydenko.
During the meeting, Marcel Rufenacht also confirmed that PFIFFNER-Group had terminated all relations with the Russian Federation and expressed the company’s continued readiness to support Ukraine in the face of Moscow’s armed aggression.
