Today, a Brown Bag Lunch discussion was held in Bern, organized by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
With the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation, the leadership of SECO, Ukrzaliznytsia, and members of the Swiss private sector, a substantive discussion took place on the current situation in Ukraine and the country’s recovery priorities amid the ongoing war.
A particular focus of the discussion was placed on the role of the railway sector as a key element of Ukraine’s economic resilience and reconstruction. Speakers addressed ways to support Ukraine’s railway system during wartime and in the restoration of damaged infrastructure, as well as prospects for modernization, integration into the European transport area, and the involvement of Swiss companies in relevant projects.
The Embassy of Ukraine expresses its sincere gratitude to its Swiss partners for their support, solidarity, and engagement in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction efforts.
