Ambassador Iryna Venediktova visited the Ukrainian educational and development center IvAlive in Lausanne.
The center plays an important role in supporting Ukrainian children and adults who have found temporary shelter in Switzerland due to the war. It combines educational, cultural and integration programs.
Iryna Venediktova got acquainted with the work of the center, talked with teachers, volunteers and program participants, and also attended classes for children and adults. The library with over 3000 Ukrainian books attracted special attention. The meeting was held in a warm and sincere atmosphere.
The Embassy highly appreciates the efforts of the Ukrainian community aimed at supporting compatriots abroad. Such initiatives are extremely important, because education, language and culture constitute a powerful basis for preserving Ukrainian identity in conditions of temporary migration.
We sincerely thank the IvAlive team for their dedicated work, initiative, and care.
