The Ambassador Iryna Venediktova held a meeting with the Head of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs Helena Budliger Artieda.

During the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of consolidating the position of the Government and the Parliament of Switzerland in the matter of making a decision regarding the permission to re-export Swiss-made military materials to Ukraine. The need to increase sanctions pressure on the Russian side and ensure proper control of trade operations with the Russian Federation was noted.

Switzerland's further steps in implementing support programs for key sectors of Ukraine's economy were discussed. It was agreed that the Swiss side will continue financing existing programs, as well as work out the possibilities of introducing new support mechanisms in such areas as health care, agriculture, and urban infrastructure development.

The Ambassador also noted the importance of increasing financing and implementation of joint projects in the field of education.

As part of the Ukrainian-Swiss dialogue on the reconstruction of Ukraine, the Swiss side confirmed its involvement in these processes and the development of a roadmap for further initiatives.
