On January 21, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, a bilateral Ukrainian-Swiss roundtable took place, dedicated to economic cooperation and the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The event was co-chaired by Oleksii Soboliev, Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Ambassador Jacques Gerber, Special Representative of the Swiss Federal Council for the Reconstruction of Ukraine. Representatives of Swiss companies also participated in the discussions.
Iryna Venediktova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation, also took part in the roundtable, emphasizing the importance of deepening Ukrainian-Swiss cooperation in the context of Ukraine’s recovery.
The participants focused on exploring the prospects for increasing the involvement of Swiss businesses in Ukraine’s reconstruction projects, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, industry, innovation, and sustainable development.
A separate important discussion block addressed the possibilities of providing urgent support to Ukraine’s energy sector, including the restoration of critical infrastructure and strengthening its resilience.
Following the event, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening economic dialogue and practically implementing joint projects aimed at restoring and modernizing Ukraine’s economy.
