Today, Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova, together with the Embassy team, met with representatives of Swiss Solidarity (Glückskette), a Swiss humanitarian organisation that mobilises assistance for people affected by wars, crises and humanitarian disasters.
The meeting focused on the organisation's humanitarian activities in Ukraine, including projects implemented, assistance delivered across different regions and key areas of support. Representatives of Swiss Solidarity outlined the priorities and approaches to humanitarian assistance for Ukraine established at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, as well as the organisation's current priorities.
The Ambassador expressed her gratitude to Swiss Solidarity for its significant contribution to supporting Ukraine, particularly its assistance to volunteer initiatives, vulnerable groups and people most severely affected by Russia's aggression.
The Ambassador also briefed the representatives on Ukraine's current needs and humanitarian priorities, highlighting areas where international support is particularly important, as well as opportunities for further cooperation.
We sincerely thank Swiss Solidarity and the Swiss people for their solidarity, compassion and steadfast support for Ukraine. During this full-scale war, this assistance represents far more than projects and resources: above all, it means lives saved, people supported and the reassurance that Ukraine is not alone.
