On 18 May 2026, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland with representatives of Swiss cities, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Office of the Delegate of the Swiss Federal Council for Ukraine, the Ukrainian Society in Switzerland, and partner organizations.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the development of interregional and intercity partnerships, the expansion of practical cooperation between Ukrainian and Swiss cities and communities, as well as prospects for further strengthening bilateral ties at the local level.

Special attention was paid to strengthening municipal partnerships, exchanging experience in the field of local self-government, implementing joint initiatives, and supporting Ukraine’s recovery process.

The meeting confirmed the shared interest in developing long-term and practical cooperation between Ukrainian and Swiss partners.
