On 26 July, representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland attended the closing event of a Ukrainian children's camp organised by the Swiss Red Cross of the Canton of Schaffhausen.
The camp brought together 28 Ukrainian children aged 3 to 15 whose parents served in the National Police of Ukraine and were killed, went missing as a result of the war, or sustained severe injuries. The children were accompanied by their mothers.
During the event, the Embassy representatives expressed their sincere gratitude to the Swiss Red Cross, the organisers, and everyone involved in making this initiative possible for their support of Ukrainian families, their care for the children, and for providing them with a safe environment for rest, recovery, and recreation.
The camp programme, held in the town of Stein am Rhein, offered the children an opportunity to spend time in a friendly atmosphere, participate in a variety of activities, and enjoy positive experiences together.
Such initiatives are another meaningful expression of Switzerland's solidarity with Ukraine and its continued support for Ukrainian children and families who have suffered as a result of Russia's aggression.
