On 18 April 2026, the Swiss Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling took place in Martigny (Canton of Valais), with the participation of Ukrainian athletes competing for Swiss clubs.

During the competition, Ukrainians—despite being far from their homeland—continue to demonstrate a high level of training, dedication, and strength of character, remaining an integral part of the Ukrainian sports community.

The presence of representatives of the Embassy was an important sign of support for Ukrainians who, through sport, maintain their connection to Ukraine, promote its values, and contribute to the development of international sports cooperation.

The Embassy of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the tournament, the coaches, and everyone who supports the Ukrainian sports community in Switzerland, and will continue to contribute to strengthening these ties.
