On 11 November 2025, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation, Iryna Venediktova, paid an official visit to the Canton of Thurgau.

In the city of Frauenfeld, Ambassador Venediktova met with the President of the Cantonal Government, Mr. Dominik Diezi, members of the Cantonal Government, and representatives of the State Chancellery. The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, Switzerland’s support for Ukraine, and prospects for developing interregional and municipal partnerships.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Canton of Thurgau for its solidarity with the people of Ukraine, provided humanitarian assistance, support for Ukrainian citizens under protection status “S,” and efforts to facilitate their integration into Swiss society.

Particular attention was paid to the participation of Swiss companies in future reconstruction projects in Ukraine, the deepening of economic cooperation, and the strengthening of contacts between regions of both countries.

The visit took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect, reaffirming the shared commitment of Ukraine and Switzerland to further developing their partnership relations.
