On August 14, 2025, the Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova paid an official visit to the Canton of Schaffhausen and met with President of the Government Martin Kessler, Councilor Patrick Strasser, State Secretary Stefan Bilger and Deputy Head of the coordination office for international cooperation Alexandra Lampater.

Constructive exchange of views on issues of mutual interest for Canton of Schaffhausen and Ukraine in the context of bilateral Ukrainian-Swiss relations took place within the framework of the meeting.

In the context of support for Ukraine, the issues of participation of Swiss companies in reconstruction projects, opportunities and promising areas for deepening cooperation as well as potential of interregional cooperation, including at the municipal level, were discussed.

The Ambassador separately thanked for the humanitarian aid already provided and support to Ukrainian citizens who received temporary shelter in the Canton of Schaffhausen.
