Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova took part in a joint meeting of the Mayors of Zurich, Corinne Mauch, and Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko. During the conversation, the Mayor of Mariupol acquainted his colleague with Russian crimes against peaceful Mariupol residents, as well as how local self-government in exile functions.

Corinne Mauch confirmed her unwavering support for Ukraine, its free and democratic development.

She emphasized that Switzerland will continue to stand on the side of democratic values, not force.

We are grateful to every Swiss family that Ukrainians were able to find shelter and help in these difficult times. And the proof of this is the resounding of Ukrainian identity in the image of the Mariupol Chamber Orchestra "Renaissance". The collective has come a long way from Ukraine to present a piece of Ukrainian musical culture to the cities of Switzerland.

We also express our gratitude to the priest of Grossmünster, Martin Rüsch, and the president of the church council of the Zurich canton, Esther Straub, for praying for peace in Ukraine.
