On August 23, 2023, the Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova met with the Ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Doris Frick.
The Chargé d'affaires of the Czech Republic in Switzerland, Marketa Faimonova, also took part in the meeting. Together with Iryna Venediktova she handed over the original joint invitation from the Speakers of the Parliaments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic, addressed to the Chairman of the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Albert Frick, to participate in the Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform, which will be held October 24, 2023, in Prague.
The Ambassador of Ukraine noted that the liberation of Crimea remains crucial for ending the war, restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and achieving peace and stability in the entire European region.
In this regard, Iryna Venediktova emphasized that the parliamentary dimension of the International Crimean Platform is a unique forum for coordination and consultations at the parliamentary level, focusing on five priority areas: non-recognition policy, sanctions, human rights, security, and freedom of navigation, as well as economic and environmental consequences of temporary occupation.
Ambassador Doris Frick agreed that the de-occupation of Crimea is a necessary condition for maintaining a rules-based international order. She noted that allowing the aggressor to violate the principle of territorial integrity of Ukraine in this case will have grave consequences for the world community.
