On January 16, the Ambassador of Ukraine, Iryna Venediktova, held a meeting with Tobias Privitelli, Director of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).

During the meeting, a constructive exchange of views took place on the importance of further developing cooperation between Ukraine and Switzerland in the field of humanitarian demining. Particular attention was paid to existing formats of interaction at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

The Ambassador especially noted Switzerland’s consistent support and active engagement in humanitarian demining efforts in Ukraine.

The parties also discussed future plans and modalities for participation in thematic events planned in the near term, aimed at further strengthening international efforts in humanitarian demining for regions of Ukraine adversely affected by Russia’s armed aggression.
