The Embassy of Ukraine supported an initiative group of Ukrainians who seek to improve the situation in the field of providing mental health services to citizens of Ukraine who have received temporary S protection status in Switzerland.
On March 20, representatives of the Embassy took part in a meeting of the initiative group led by the President of the Ukrainian Association "Ukraine-Reborn" Nadia Olarean and the Head of the Foundation Bohdan Havrylyshyn and the honorary member of "Ukraine Reborn" - Kristina Havrylyshyn-Batruh with the Director of the Department of Health Care of the Geneva Canton Adrien Armor
During the meeting, gratitude was expressed to the Geneva canton government for its support of Ukrainian asylum seekers. The importance of implementing additional measures to support the mental health of Ukrainians who were forced to flee the war was emphasized.
Among the important issues on the agenda: the possibility of receiving help in the Ukrainian language, employment of Ukrainian psychologists, recognition of Ukrainian diplomas of medical workers.
We hope for the support of the mentioned issues from the government of the canton of Geneva.
