At the invitation of the Bern section of the Swiss European Movement and the Swiss Society for Foreign Policy, Ambassador Iryna Venediktova had a speech at one of the scientific centers of Switzerland - the University of Bern.
The Swiss are in solidarity with Ukraine and want to know who is currently protecting the whole of Europe from Russian aggression.
The Ambassador introduced Ukraine, talked about the rich history and identity that the enemy always tried to steal from us, what and against whom we are fighting, the genocidal policy of the Russian Federation, our heroic resistance and victories. It was emphasized that despite all the challenges, Ukraine is turning into a state of the future: progressive, digital, progressive in many areas.
The Ambassador thanked Switzerland for its help in preparing our young generation for the reconstruction and development of Ukraine.
The Vice Rector of the University of Bern Prof. Dr. Virginia Richter spoke about creating conditions for Ukrainian students and researchers to continue the educational process, as well as opening opportunities for Ukrainian applicants.
Here Ukrainians had an opportunity not only to study, but also to take part in the active life of the university, forming student self-government.
During the event, the mayor of Bern, Alec von Graffenried, spoke to the audience. The mayor's speech again proved that Ukraine has friends.
Interest in our country, response to needs, support of people - this is what strengthens our strength.
