The Ambassador Iryna Venediktova together with the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Bohdan Drapyat held the meetings regarding the expansion of the involvement of the Swiss side in the implementation of projects in the field of cleaning the territory of our country from the traces of war.
With the Deputy Head of the Federal Department of Defense, Population Protection and Sports, Head of Security Policy, Ambassador Pelvi Pulli, were discussed additional opportunities for the participation of the Swiss Government and private companies in the supply of special equipment to ensure humanitarian demining in Ukraine.
The Swiss company Global Clearance Solutions and the Digger Foundation have currently mobilized all their production facilities to ensure the supply of demining machines to Ukraine. The heads of both companies also expressed interest in setting up production and providing service support in Ukraine.
The deputy director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Andrea Studer, also confirmed the readiness of the official Bern to finance training programs for demining specialists and developing standards for mine action in Ukraine.
