Children of fallen and missing officers of the National Police of Ukraine took part in a sports camp in Switzerland
15 January 2026 21:40

From January 11 to 17, the Magglingen Sports Center hosted 20 Ukrainian children of officers of the National Police of Ukraine who were killed or went missing while defending Ukraine against the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The program was implemented with the support of the Swiss Federal Office of Sport (BASPO), which provided the necessary infrastructure, accommodation, and organizational assistance for the event.

As part of the program, the children participated in sports training sessions, team games, and various physical activities.

The organization of this camp became another example of the consistent solidarity of Swiss partners with Ukraine and their readiness to support Ukrainian children affected by the war.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, Swiss sports institutions—particularly BASPO—have been systematically supporting Ukrainian children, thanks to the continuous efforts of the Embassy of Ukraine, by opening their sports centers for relevant programs.

The Embassy of Ukraine expresses its sincere gratitude to the Swiss Federal Office of Sport, Ms. Martina Krüger, Director of the National Sports Center Magglingen, and the entire team for their solidarity and continued support for Ukraine.
