Ambassador Iryna Venediktova participated in the event “Together against Violence: The Istanbul Convention and its Implementation” in Bern

On November 30, the event “Together against Violence: The Istanbul Convention and its Implementation” was held in Bern.

The event brought together representatives of various sectors of Swiss society and became an important platform for discussing the topic of combating violence and the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.

The event was extremely informative and interesting. A special place in the discussion was taken by an interview with former Swiss Federal Councilor Simonetta Sommaruga, who emphasized the importance of joint efforts in combating violence. Her speech inspired the participants to take active action in this direction.

The event is organized by Swiss Soroptimist, an organization that unites women of different cultures and professions to improve the living conditions of women and girls around the world.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the organization has been actively supporting Ukrainian women and children, providing humanitarian assistance to those who need it most.

Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova expressed her sincere gratitude to Swiss Soroptimist for their invaluable support to Ukraine and emphasized the importance of further cooperation in protecting human rights and combating violence.
