On December 14, Ambassador Iryna Venediktova attended an open lesson on Ukrainian language and culture in Derendingen.
Students aged 5 to 12 gather every Saturday at the local administration building for classes.
Active girls and boys enthusiastically listen to the new topic of class work, which is explained by the teacher Ms. Inna Bereza. The new grammatical material of the Ukrainian language is being learned very quickly. And this cannot but please, because so far from their native home these little ones do not forget their language. And to make learning the language even more interesting, the Ambassador donated interesting art books to the school library.
The children also sing, draw and dance very well. Ms. Tetyana Rozdolska organized a dance group "Tanok" for almost 40 children, which has already had its first successful performances and is preparing for new Christmas ones.
The Embassy of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the Mayor's Office of the City of Derendingen and the Head of the Integration Department, Michelle Antoni, for the support of our citizens and assistance in opening these cultural and language classes.
We wish the children success in their studies, and the teachers inspiration and energy.
