We continue the project of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska – the opening of the “Ukrainian Bookshelves”. Today, the Embassy of Ukraine presented the local library of Burgdorf with 160 children’s art books.
This project was created so that Ukrainian children and adults abroad could read in their native language, and local residents had the opportunity to get to know Ukraine better through its literature.
On the shelf are not just books — it is a part of the house, it is a culture that unites, inspires and tells the world: Ukraine is strong, alive and reading.
We express our gratitude to the president of the Burgdorf community, Christian Bürgi, the head of the local library, Andrea Grichting, and friends of Ukraine for supporting the initiative, for their open doors and hearts.
