Iryna Venediktova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation, met with Pavlo Shmulevych, a Ukrainian economist, researcher and human rights advocate who survived Russian captivity and torture in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The meeting focused on protecting the rights of civilians affected by Russian aggression, ensuring justice, and securing redress for the harm they have suffered.
Pavlo Shmulevych represents ALUMNI, a network of Ukrainian men who have survived Russian captivity and torture. Their experiences are vital to developing mechanisms that ensure survivors have access to justice and appropriate reparations for the harm they have endured.
