On 26-27. In October, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Switzerland, A. Rybchenko, took part in an extraordinary meeting of the Administrative Council of the Universal Postal Union in Bern and nominated the candidacy of Vladyslav Dubenko to participate in the elections for the post of Deputy General Director of the International Office of the Universal Postal Union.

The main item on the agenda for the meeting was the date of the 27th Universal Postal Congress. After two days of discussion, it was decided to hold the 27th Universal Postal Congress in Abidjan, Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, in August 2021. If,  by June 30, 2021, the Administrative Council determines that a congress in Côte d'Ivoire in August 2021 will not be possible due to the COVID19 pandemic situation, the congress will take place in Geneva until the end of September 2021.
