Ambassador Iryna Venediktova took part in the Third Swiss Forum of International Cooperation, which took place from April 11 to 12 in Basel.
The forum became a platform for politicians, business representatives, scientists, philanthropists and the general public to discuss a wide range of humanitarian aid projects in different parts of the world. About 1700 people from over 100 countries took part in the event.
In the framework of discussions, debates and meetings about peace and security, the participants of the event laid the foundation for new cooperation to achieve peace in different regions of the world.
The event was opened by the President of Switzerland, Viola Amherd. The President of the Council of States Eva Herzog, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis, Head of the Swiss Agency for International Development Patrizia Danzi, Head of the Office of Human Rights and Peace Simon Geissbühler and other officials also took part in various segments of the Forum.
The speeches of Swiss high-ranking officials confirmed the support of Ukraine in its struggle for peace not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe.
