We are commemorating the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine together with the Mariupol Chamber Orchestra "Renaissance".
The Orchestra "Renaissance" is a musical symbol of unconquered Mariupol. For over 35 years, the group has been one of the best orchestras in the Donetsk region.
After the occupation of Mariupol, the musicians of the Orchestra "Renaissance" led by its founder and director Vasyl Kryachko found refuge in Kyiv.
Today, the orchestra is introducing the Swiss public to Ukrainian musical culture. Concerts will also be held in Basel, Zurich, Zug and Solothurn.
"For three years, Ukraine has been fighting the aggressor for its democratic future. And today we must be united and united as never before. We are grateful to the Swiss people for their solidarity, clear position, voice and support for Ukraine," said Embassy Counselor Samvel Arustamian.
We also express our gratitude for the support of our European partners, Ukraine Culture Network, Verein Ukraine-Hilfe Bern, Förderverein Yehudi Menuhin Forum Bern.
