The Ambassador Iryna Venediktova held a meeting with the Federal Counselor, head of the Federal Department of Justice and Police Elisabeth Baume-Schneider regarding the support of Ukrainian citizens in Switzerland and their urgent needs.

Joint efforts are currently creating decent conditions for the stay of Ukrainians in the Confederation. Safe haven, social security, employment assistance and education support are very valuable to us. We believe that our fellow citizens will implement the acquired experience and knowledge for the restoration and development of the Motherland.

The Ambassador and the Federal Counselor also discussed Switzerland's participation in the formation of international legal mechanisms for holding Russia accountable and compensating for damages caused by the aggressor. Our strategic orientation remains the further strengthening of sanctions and opposition to Russian propaganda and disinformation.
