The Embassy continued the practice of conducting political consultations with the Embassies of Ukraine's partner countries, which began in 2023, with the aim of coordinating efforts to develop cooperation with Switzerland on key issues of countering Russian aggression and increasing aid to Ukraine.
On July 4, 2024, at the invitation of the Ambassador of Germany to Switzerland, Michael Flügger, the diplomatic teams summed up the results of the inaugural Global Peace Summit in Bürgenstock, the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin, determined priorities for cooperation in the direction of restoring Ukraine, discussed current issues of sanctions policy and joint efforts to demonstrate the importance of directing interest from frozen Russian assets to humanitarian needs and reconstruction projects.
Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova thanked her German colleagues for Germany's unwavering support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the initiation of negotiations on accession to the EU, active participation in ensuring the defense needs of our country, and expressed readiness for the further development of mutually beneficial interaction between the two diplomatic institutions in dialogue with Switzerland.
