On the second day of the visit of Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Iryna Mudra and Adviser to the Office of President of Ukraine Markiyan Klyuchkovsky, a meeting was held with the Presidents of the Commissions on legal issues of Federal Assembly Christa Markwalder (National Council) and Carlo Sommaruga (Council of States) and deputy commissioners.
The visions of the Ukrainian side and partner countries on the structure and functioning of the compensation mechanism for damage caused by Russian military aggression were presented to the Swiss parliamentarians.
The further stages of the start of the damage register and the importance of active participation by the Swiss side in these processes were also discussed.
The member of the Swiss parliament noted that discussions about the state goods of Russia have already started within the parliament. Despite being under international immunity, they could become an important element of financing Ukraine's reconstruction.
The Ukrainian delegation expects Switzerland to join the so-called "Core group" for the creation of the special court for crimes of aggression.
