On the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 (URC2025), taking place in Rome, Italy, an intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and Switzerland was signed, opening new opportunities for Switzerland’s practical involvement in Ukraine’s recovery process.
The agreement was signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy, Yuliia Svyrydenko, and the Swiss Government’s Special Envoy for Ukraine, Jacques Gerber.
The document allows Ukraine to procure Swiss goods and services for the implementation of reconstruction projects. This is an important step towards engaging Swiss businesses in Ukraine’s economic recovery. The agreement will enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, water infrastructure, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
The signing of this agreement provides a concrete mechanism for the implementation of Switzerland’s long-term support for Ukraine — in particular, within the framework of the CHF 5 billion aid package through 2036.
We sincerely thank Switzerland for its trust, partnership, and unwavering solidarity!
