The Ambassador Iryna Venediktova held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Intergovernmental Organization for International Rail Transport (OTIF) Wolfgang Küpper. Humanitarian cooperation in the railway sector was discussed within the framework of the meeting.

The mission of the Intergovernmental Organization for International Railway Transport is to ensure the comprehensive development, improvement and simplification of international railway transport. That is an improvement of the uniform rules that regulate international freight and passenger transportation by rail.

Taking into account the significant destruction of infrastructure in our country caused by the criminal war of the Russian Federation, ways of developing Ukraine's interaction with the Organization and additional possibilities of attracting Ukrainian experts to expand cooperation with the organization were discussed.
