As part of the "Concerts for Peace" project, a charity concert was held on August 29 at the Yehudi Menuhin Forum in Bern.

The Swiss audience enjoyed world compositions of different eras and peoples performed by the French violinist Gilles Apap and the Ukrainian chamber orchestra from the Odesa Music School named after Stolyarsky.

A 21st century violinist, a renowned virtuoso with a unique approach to music and a knack for bringing joy to every concert hall, he provided expressive performances of the classical repertoire combined with genres such as jazz and folk from around the world. The unique program and style of the musician combines the borders between musical styles and peoples.

In her welcome speech, Ambassador of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova thanked the organizers for their solidarity with Ukraine during an extremely difficult period for our citizens and emphasized the importance of continuing comprehensive support for our country in the face of aggression.

The concert was organized in support of the restoration of the Odesa Music School named after Stolyarsky, which is a partner of the Bern Conservatory. As a result of Russian missile attacks, the school was damaged. The collected funds will help young musicians to return to their studies.

We are sincerely grateful to the great friends of Ukraine in Switzerland, the Mayor of Bern Alec von Graffenried and the former Director of the Music School of the Bern Conservatory Werner Schmitt, as well as the Yehudi Menuhin Forum in Bern for an evening of musical adventures, support for Ukrainian creative heritage and solidarity with Ukraine.
