On January 10, 2023, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Switzerland Iryna Venediktova presented his credentials to the President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset.

During the conversation, Iryna Venediktova expressed her gratitude for Switzerland's solidarity and constant support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as for humanitarian aid during the most difficult times for the people of Ukraine. The Ambassador assured of Ukraine's readiness to continue fruitful cooperation in the development of bilateral relations, search for ways to restore respect for the norms of international law, increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor country and create effective mechanisms for compensation for damages caused to Ukraine and its citizens.

In turn, the President of Switzerland, Alain Berset, confirmed the Confederation's full support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the intention to develop fruitful cooperation with our state, and conveyed his congratulations to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine.
