On June 6, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein Iryna Venediktova participated in the plenary panel “International Support for Ukraine” during the World Ukrainian Summit (Ukrainian World Congress).

In her remarks, Ambassador Venediktova emphasized the importance of international support for Ukraine through coordinated global action. A unified and strategic approach remains essential for ensuring continued military and security assistance, maintaining political and economic pressure on the Russian Federation through effective sanctions and the use of frozen Russian assets, as well as addressing the humanitarian and information challenges caused by the ongoing war.

Special attention was given to the critical role of Ukrainian communities worldwide in shaping public opinion, influencing political decision-making, and advancing a common international position in support of Ukraine.

Global mobilization, effective advocacy, and close cooperation remain vital for securing a just and lasting peace, ensuring accountability for international crimes, and protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty and democratic future.

During the discussion, panel participants stressed that coordinated efforts by diplomatic institutions, civil society organizations, and Ukrainian communities around the world are key to further strengthening international support for Ukraine.

Only through continuous dialogue, mutual support, and joint action can we ensure that the voice of Ukrainians in Switzerland is united, strong, and heard.
