The Ambassador of Ukraine to Switzerland, Iryna Venediktova, gave a lecture for students of the European Law course at HSG SQUARE on the timely and important topic “Ukraine’s Path to the European Union: Decades of Transformation.”

During the discussion, the Ambassador focused on the complex evolution of relations between Ukraine and the EU, starting with the launch of the modern phase of integration and the implementation of the first wave of reforms necessary to establish institutional foundations. The exceptional importance of the Association Agreement was emphasized as the key framework document defining cooperation. The impact of the full-scale war on the functioning of the state and its resilience was also analyzed, as this is a critical factor influencing Ukraine’s current level of readiness for EU membership.
